                           This American adaptation, set in a paper mill in Scranton, Pennsylvania, has a documentary-style that is similar to the Ricky Gervais-led British version. It features the Dunder-Mifflin team, and has characters based on the British show's characters (and, quite possibly, people you work with in your office). There's Jim, a pleasant coworker who is a bit of an everyman. Pam, a receptionist-turned-sales rep, has a thing for Jim (because office romances are always a good idea). Dwight, a competent coworker who lacks communications skills and common sense, is also present. And then there's Ryan, who has worked at the firm in a variety of capacities.
